MY WEDDING

CIAO EVERYBODY!!!
Because I don't have internet in my new house of my new life, I can publish some pictures of my wedding just now, so to Filippo's post I add another one with more pictures...it was a GREAT DAY, I would like to repeat it more and more time...it was as in my dreams: all the people I love there for me, Luca was the most handsome groom I have never seen and what about me? Look at the pictures!!!! I would like to thank all my friends by my side that day (mafia,Cirolli,Peppe, Pilar&Rocio,Tiziana&Badou...) but above all that people couldn't come but that make me feel happy with a text, a call-phone, a letter, an e-mail...distance is not a problem, everything can be passed!!!

Social, Cirolli and Mafia boys all together in Catania

Ciao folks!

Last Tuesday Cirolli, mafia boys and me met in Catania to have a senegalese lunch, thanks to our almost famous friend, Badou (who is going to play a role in "Il commissario Montalbano") who suggested us the place... we ate a dish with rice, souce and lamb and it was WONDERFUL!! My greedy soul is looking forward to eat it again!

Social gave everybody the official invitation to her wedding... just 36 days, and THE social coordinator will be lost... in the arms of his husband!!

I strongly want Giorgio, named the Large, to publish the pictures of our lunch in Catania, in order to allow our friend in Derry, inside the Northwest Academy, to look at our sun-burned and feeded faces!!!

I'm guilty... I am updating this blog more than one month after my arrival in my country, but I am getting marryed and getting lost (as my dear Ulrik says...)!!!
In these pictures I want to show you what my French flatmates (Latifa, Nadege and Magali) organized the friday before my deparure: a surprise party at Sugar, with all the students of the Academy. VERY KIND OF YOU... expecially the beautiful present: the complete episodes of "The Tudors", which main character made me company during my nights of solitude here in Caltagirone.

HALLO EVERYBODY!
I need to strike against another transport company which is forbidding me to break the world record of 8 times in Giant's Causeway in 6 months: THERE'S JUST ONE BUS AVAILABLE FROM GIANT'S CAUSEWAY TO COLERAINE IN THE WAY BACK!!!!
If somebody else will win this attempt, the fault is of ULSTERBUS!!!

How do they want to develop tourism in Northern Ireland if they cancel all the buses during the week-end? If people work from Monday to Friday, how can they visit Giant's Causeway if they cancel all the buses heading there?!?!?

Italians&French together against the Spanish (1st of March 2008)

Hallo guys!
After the wake up call made in Ryanair, my brother and me joined the bowling evening organized by Nadege, my french flatmate.

We had a very great fun, but the most important thing was that Italian&French got over the old grudges (most of the French stil regret our soccer-world-championship...) to play together a winning match against the Spanish, who lost 81 against our 87 marks.
Now an UNITED Europe is possible...

as a way of introduction, my brother is healtlhy and safetly here by my side: his travel was so adventurous, not only because of the weather, but also because Ryanair is a THIEF - COMPANY...
They wanted my brother to pay them £ 70 (= 105 €) to be sure that Lia Gesualdo (on the identity card) and Lia Gesualdo Dario (on the ticket) are the same person!!!!!!
IT'S INCREDIBLE ...
....that's why I promise myself that I will not travel ANYMORE with Ryanair.... to avoid some identity crisis.

My last night lying in a bed

Waiting for my brother (at the moment he is on the Palermo-London Stansted flight), I've remembered something very important for my future: THIS IS MY LAST NIGHT SLEEPING ON A SOFT & COMFORTABLE BED... because as I will arrive in Sicily, I will sleep on the coach till July! My sicilian bed is under the control of my beloved 7-years-old-sister Delia... it's time to grow up for her and move to a real bed.... it's time to get married for me and move to another house!
As my French friends say "C'EST LA VIE"!

Balkan gig @ Masons

Hallo everybody!
After Alonso's lunch, Alonso family, Latifa and me moved to Masons to attend the live concert of the Balkan, a group from Derry who plays Balcanic music.... something very nice and interesting, but, what a pity that that was their last concert!
All of us enjoyed the amazing music and the Guinness.
I tryed for the first time to have the craic without any blackcurrant inside, but my effort was unsuccessful!
....I APOLOGIZE, my dear friends from Ireland & Ulster, but I'm not the best sponsor for Guinness... I like it with blackcurrant...it's a blasfemy, I now (like lasagna with salad&maionaise in the same plate), but try to forgive this sicilian girl!

HUMILIATION LUNCH @ Alonso house

Last sunday (24th Feb.) I was invited to Manuela's house to have a lunch all together (Manu, Hector, Rosalia and me) and I could have humiliated Hector with my WONDERFUL Nadege couscous (I named it like this because Nadege, my french flatmate, gave me the inspiration)....but at the same time I was humiliated by the WONDERFUL crepes cooked by Hector...
.....Hector, I think that on sunday both of us were the champions!

My fame as a cordon-bleau it's spreading out all around Derry, and a group of French (+ Pawel) wanted to check my pizza and there's no need to say that it was successful.

HALLO EVERYBODY!!
I don't want to bother all of you with other 50 pictures of me in Giant's Causeway[I have been again there the 2nd of February with the new French and Spanish group (+ Urska -a girl from Slovenia,Pawel and Tiziana): what made the difference that day in going there was the snow... wonderful as usual, even better!] that's why I think one picture is enough.
I've chosen this picture because it shows WITH ANY DOUBT (it's an incontrovertible evindence... isn't it?!?) that I am the sole persone in the world who have visited Giant's Causeway 7 times in 6 months, without working there!!!

After have been Santa Klaus n^3717 (I made the difference that day... look at the older post), I've broken AGAIN the world record... and maybe I will come through myself again next week, because Dario (my brother) will be here so... he can't leave Derry without visiting Giant's Causeway so...
...... waiting for going to Giant's Causeway AGAIN (8times/6months)!!!!

PS: please, notice that I will document my last (I hope) trip there with another (incontrovertble) picture. DON'T MISS IT!

31st Jan. - 1st Feb. 2008 Ary & Tizy in Dublin

HALLO AGAIN!
Between the 31st of January and the 1st of February Tiziana and me decided to visit Dublin... Beautiful, multicultural and VERY VERY COLD city.
I don't know why every time I go to Dublin, it snows!! It happened also the 6th of January, with Mafia boys by my side, in the day of Cirolli& company's departure.
... We visited all the city centre, included the beautiful Beauty Chester Library and the National Botanic Garden, just 2 km walking from the city centre. We were tired, but I think this Park deserves 1hour-walking!

Discovering Co. Derry: Arianna & Tizy at Mussenden Temple (sun. 27th Jan. 2008)

Forunatelly after Mafia's departure, my best friend Tiziana from Misterbianco (Mrwhite city, in the district of Catania) arrived here to visit me and have a look around Derry and its neighbourous.
So, our first trip was in Mussenden Temple, during a strangely sunny (but also cold!!) day ...it's one of the beautiful places to visit here in Derry: one Bishop built in the 1800's a circular library on a cliff above the Ocean.. but it was just an excuse to meet a woman he felt in love with.
BOYS, please, think about it ... maybe a library above the Atlantic Ocean it's enough to catch the heart of the girl you like...
