10,001 Santas: We are the champions!
The man behind Derry's bid to secure its place in the Guinness Book of Records - by having the most Santas in the one place at the one time - says Sunday's event will 'go down in history'. Martin Mullan, chief organiser of the 10,001 Santas event, described Sunday’s turnout - estimated in the region of 13,000 people - as “phenomenal”.
“I am the proudest man in the whole world,” he said. “Many said we’d never do it but the streets of Derry were a sea of red and white and we proved them wrong.
“We may be a small city compared with Liverpool, Las Vegas and Glasgow but the people of Derry have a big heart and that's what we have shown the world by achieving this. Everyone here is a winner because they believed we could do it."
People turned out in their thousands to support the four beneficiaries of the project - Foyle Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support, iCARE and Children in Crossfire.

The neverending story...the Derry's wall will be forever
I have had a good idea.
I think it would be nice for this blog to remain FOREVER!!
Time flies, days will be spent, a lot of people will come in Derry from different places... but our blog will be forever!!
We are looking for someone willing to continue our work when we will go back in Italy.
It will be as a passage of a witness and the same will be in aeternum!!
Yet again The Derry's wall needs your help!!
Falkor and Atreyu are flying around the emptiness of space and they are waiting for you!!Give us your availability!!Help us to defeat the Nothing!!
